Cheating At Poker With A Marked Card

With the advent of online poker, more and more people have taken to the sport whether just as a bit of fun or to try and win large jackpot sums. However, as convenient as online poker is, casino cities such as Las Vegas still drive millions of people each year to have their hand at lady luck.

Most players take the time to learn the skill of poker whilst a much smaller group will take it upon themselves to perfect the “art” of cheating the house. For some it seems as though cheating is not only justified but they take it as a personal challenge to beat the house any way they can. One of these methods is marking the cards.

When it comes to cheating at poker with a marked card, the main purpose is for the player to recognise the suit and number of a particular card to help him make the best bet next time around. This is usually accomplished by making a small mark on the back of the cards. For example a player may scratch the card or an old trick is bending a corner.

Cheaters tend to mark the high cards and will try to be as sly as possible to avoid detection by the dealer or other players. It has been known for some card cheaters to use a special type of ink that can only been seen through special lenses, such as a pair of sunglasses that can detect the otherwise invisible markings.

Remember, cheating is against house rules so be prepared to be barred from the casino, or even arrested, if caught. If you can get away with cheating at poker with a marked card then you could very well be onto a winner!

The Secrets To Counting Cards

As long as gambling has existed there have been people trying to beat the odds, some by any means necessary such as cheating. One of the more popular techniques is card counting. Although to do it effectively you must be very sly and cautious as it’s against the rules of any casino.

When it comes to gambling the moment you place your bet the odds are stacked in favour of the house, not you! The idea of card counting, which requires an excellent memory as well as good math skills, is to keep track of which cards have been dealt so you can make a better guess as to which cards you’ll receive on next deal.

Dealers will try to thwart those trying to card count and one way they do this is include more than one deck in the holding case from where the cards are dealt from. The dealer at any time may decide to reshuffle the deck so you really need to be on your toes.

The general rule is, as you keep mental track of how many cards have been dealt as well as which cards have been passed out, if you notice the deck is heavy with high value cards, such as Jacks, Queens, Kings, Aces etc. then you should bet more. You have a greater chance of getting high value cards in your next deal.

Once again, counting cards may improve your chances of winning but be careful because if you get caught you could lose your cash as well as being permanently barred from the casino.
